British internet censorship running rogue.

As expected the UKs filters do not quite work (yet). Or maybe there's a ghost in the machine with a sense of humor.

Among blocked sites were the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, the Samaritans, ChildLine and the most hilarious piece of all claireperry.org.uk. That's right. The machine has a sense of humor. Claire 'censorship' Perry's own site was blocked by the very same filters she lobbied for. Fate is a biatch.

With a little browser extension appropriately named Go Away Cameron! the filter can already be circumvented.

I actually had not expected that a simple proxy solution would work this easily. Well. Apparently it does ...
